I just saw my Silver roo mating with one of the golden pullets, so perhaps the goldens will start laying soon!! I've put almost every egg I've found this past week into the incubator, and I'm hoping to get some more Silver pullets. Even if I get roos, I can save one for future mating. (I have an exile pen... I mean, a rooster pen.) I wish I had a golden roo to mate with the two golden girls. Where's a male when you need him?

Can any of you tell me if this guy is full Sebright or a mix? I was told he's a mix but my neighbor said he looks full to her, or at least high content

I can tell you that type is way off, I have yet to see a really good example of a Buff laced Sebright yet. That is not to say they don't exist I just haven't seen them.
His comb is wrong, his neck is far to long, back is long, wing carriage is too high. This would lead me to believe he has something else in there somewhere but the buff laced came from a cross of something...

I'm at work and don't have a better pic of his comb.

I was told he's a mix but since i have no knowledge of Sebrights I wanted to be sure of what I've got.

Do you have any suggestions for what he might be mixed with?

Yatesbantams does have the best buff laced sebrights I have seen. Very nice...I am still really intrigued by the lavender sebrights...I dont understand how they maintained the lacing. But on the Buff Laced sebrights, they have to have been crossed with something to get the buff color and lacing, so they are a cross with soemthing.

I have no ineterest in looking at additional sebrights, we breed and raise them for my middle son who likes to show them, and I will openly admit I cannot wait until he is no longer interested in them or moves out so I can be rid of the sebrights.
I never said there were not good ones, just none that I had seen and that does not mean a picture as a picture never tells the story of the bird, see it in person and in teh hand. I have seen some good pics.
