prepperchickens
Chirping
I personally believe it's best to take extra special care of sebrights and bantams in general despite what some people say about them just being smaller. Smaller does mean more fragile, my roo is still not great at balancing when perched or grooming his backside, and they both have issues with poop sticking to their butts no matter what I do it's like a mechanical issue, like maybe too low to the ground to clear their poop? I give them extras like egg, oatmeal, acv in water, chick grit and mealworms I break up, for protein. I'm new at chicks but I felt like they were weak when I got them at the store, too stressful for sebright chicks in a busy rural king, and they seemed to blossom after a few days. Adding the keet really livened them up and made them more confident, they don't even fear my hand now (the mealworms helped also) .
They are the most exquisite creatures, who knew chickens could be so elegant? But if you're like me you'll be on pins and needles til they grow up wondering why people say they're so hard to raise to adults, not being able to discern whether they are indeed more feeble than other chicks or if that's in your head from their reputation. Make sure you have lots of free time! Lol.
