My Sebright keeps going broody... And I'm very tempted to let her hatch a clutch of eggs... But I've never had any experience with letting a hen hatch eggs (I would have to purchase fertilized eggs as we don't have a rooster)... Does anyone have any experience with Sebrights as mother hens? Any advice?
... She goes broody quite often... We're in central NC and she's done well with the weather thus far... When it gets really cold she does sleep tucked under our larger chickens... And sometimes if its cold during the day she will stay in the coop... She is more sensitive to the cold than the others we have she doesn't like her feet to be cold that's for sure! ... And tolerates the heat better than they do.
