Yep.
THAT can be arranged. I have 20+ sitting here right now...LOL
I moved the quail out of the brooder and into a wire bottom cage we normally use for chicks that are too big for the rabbit hutch, but too small to go out in one of the coops. They are really mad at me right now.
lol.png
At least I let them have their box. It's the only thing they're happy about.
They will get over it...LOL Just let me know how many calls & quail you want & we shall discuss the jelly. JJ already said "send the jelly!!!" LOL He prefers me to swap for things to fill his belly rather than my coops & bators.

I'll let you know something soon. I don't think he'll be disappointed with the jelly.

That stuff is good. We've just had too much of it.

3 week old MW poults already strutting their stuff. And I swear I heard an attempt at a gobble once.

I have one doing that, too!!

I sold some of the poults to a gal who had bought several sets from the feed store and lost all of them...I'm hoping that since these are already nearly a month old they'll be over the hump for her. I'm also hoping she didn't ignore everything I said about coccidiosis, because it's been very wet here all month. She was all, "yeah, yeah, yeah..." when I told her what to look for and was clear about the symptoms.

There is a reason I have so many birds. When I hatch, I feel obligated to vet the recipients, and so few people meet my standards I can't get rid of any birds! And, I'm a breeding fanatic about making things and improving things, and I can't bring myself to locally sell those that don't meet my needs...thus I have 800,000 birds.

...and another 5 doz poults about to hatch, 2 broody turkeys sitting on eggs, 17 broody chickens, and a husband poised to stuff me into a padded cell.

Did anyone ever mention straight-jackets?? What the hell is wrong with me??? Oh, look!! An egg!! Better hatch it....

Quote: He will eat just about any jelly, jam, butter, spread, pickle, relish, etc. We go through a TON of crackers when he has homemade stuff to spread on them...LOL
My cousin apparently took the last of the jelly.

Good thing we have enough blackberries to make more. Now, if only he'd return the jars so we COULD make more.

Oh Raz those jars are worth a phone call to ask how the jelly was and to ask for the jars back for the next batch. WE eat them so fast never enough or jelly.

Quote: How about a side swap for some of those turkey eggs...LOL I have stuff besides eggs so you don't have to hatch more if you are interested. Check my swap page & let me know.

Would you consider swapping for some

Eggs & other stuff on my swap page (including handmade soaps).

Silkie - you could satisfy your DBF and fill your bators by learning to can yourself. It's really pretty easy. Offer to swap hatching eggs for hardware, supplies instead, and swap eating eggs to farmers for produce. ;)

We are in process of planting a huge garden so will be canning soon.

He's just impatient & wants everything NOW.

Oh, and my bators are already OVER full, thus the swapping for edibles instead of eggs.
