Second duckling trouble swallowing water. Advice please

Wow, that is very odd. Can you post a video of him just walking?
Little Charlie is eating and growing but has a hard time swallowing water. He has rubbed the feathers off of his head and back. Seems awful Coincidental that I have had two ducklings with the same symptoms. Been adding B complex to his water. What is this? Advice?

And now Stevie is okay? Hopefully that means Charlie will grow out of it too.
Yes Stevie is perfectly fine. Such a handsome fella.

I added a video of Charlie walking in the yard. When I first got him out of the tote that I am keeping him in he had a little trouble getting his legs under him on the wood flooring. That was the first time that I noticed that. I hadn't been able to get him out to exercise him so he would sit in the box holding his head back with his legs spread apart for support. After being out for a while he improved and as the video shows his legs seem fine. He really perked up and wasn't focused on standing with his head up and on his back when he got near the pen with his siblings. I decided to let him have a sleepover with his family. I will still give him special tlc but I think that he likes being in the grass.

Advice anyone? Just had a thought:rolleyes: Wondering if I should rehome Charlie and Stevie so that they don't reproduce since they both had this strange issue with their swallowing? My ducks free range and we don't have the set up to keep any permanently penned. Stevie is definatly a boy not sure about Charlie yet so unless they can be altered they will be reproducing. I feel like we can keep 1 male which would give us 2, unless Charlie turns out to be a drake as well. In that case there is no question that one would need to be rehomed or culled. Just not sure if I should be concerned about that issue being genetic.:idunno We have had a lot of ducklings and have only had two with this problem. Any thoughts?

I have read a bunch on chick feed having too many antibotics in them and to use crumble for duckling as baby chick feed could make them sick.

I found this online :
https://www.fresheggsdaily.com/2014/04/preventing-and-treating-wry-neck-in.html

The molasses sounded heartening.

and this: "Also feeding your chicks medicated feed can interfere with their thiamine (Vitamin B1) absorption. Adding some Brewer's Yeast, bran, sunflower seeds or wheat germ to their diet can help build up their B1 supply "

When I was a kid we had a bunch of piglets go sprawl legged like that duckling looks to be a bit. I might be wrong. Our piglets though had some vitamin deficiencies from the sows and once we fully medicated the mom's they started having healthy babies. Maybe where you're getting your ducklings has a vitamin deficient mom?
