chicken wire for the floor would also workMakes sense. I was also going to put hardware cloth or similar across the floor and bury it with topsoil or dirt to stop diggers.

That will be strong enough for the floor?chicken wire for the floor would also work![]()
I would not have built it touching shed, or built the walls lower so roof line could go against shed wall below shed roof...and at an angle to coop roof can drain.Still working on that. I've got corrugated roof panels, was thinking i would build a frame. Any ideas?

Yeah, i am kind of wishing i built it a little shorter but the pallets stacked up to that height so nicely lol. I do plan to give it some slope to drain though. It won't be flat. I'm thinking I'll be able to get about 4inches of decline over the 8ft. Might not be enough.I would not have built it touching shed, or built the walls lower so roof line could go against shed wall below shed roof...and at an angle to coop roof can drain.
Apronmightbe better. Mesh on coop ground/floor can damage feet.
Good examples of anti-dig apron installation.

I see, sorry if my advice wasn't that good! I don't have many predators where I live so I probably shouldn't be trying to give advice on it anywayChicken wire is too weak to stop most predators. The only thing it's good at is keeping chickens in.As @aart said, an anti-dig apron is a better idea. Wire is hard on the birds' feet.![]()
It would have to be buried like 12", those chicken are master excavators!I would only personally use the chicken wire if a thick layer of mulch or dirt was laid over it as well,

Rodents can get thru chicken wire holes...
.....even if you use smaller mesh they can live under the mesh.
