Second handing for chickens

My favorite roadside pick up. I'd been looking into buying one, so when it turned up across the street, I quickly sent hubby to grab it and walk it back over:

We have one of this from our kids - and it's still lying around. What can you do with it? Unfortunately there is a hole on the cover, so can't really keep the rain out (I tried duck tape, but still leaks). And if we leave it out, it'll just accumulate water and breed. mosquitoes!

Aww that's a shame that the cover leaks. I admittedly still get excited if I see one on the curb. I was visiting family out of state and saw another one on a curb and bemoaned the fact that I couldn't take it home!
