Secondary Water safe?

How many waterers do you have to fill? I don't have running water within hose reach of the house, so I fill a five gallon bucket or two and just walk out to them to fill.

I just have multiple waterers. Take out a clean, full one. Bring in the dirty one and wash it.

I have to laugh...Patvetzal is soooo right. When my dh and I were kids we didn't think twice to drinking from the hose (secondary water). We never got sick from it. My grandmother lives in a rural area and has a well which has a unique smell. The water tastes awesome. Yet when others come to visit they refuse to drink and often claim stomach issues. Yet my family has never had a problem with it.

I know our secondary water comes from local retention ponds. The water that fills those ponds is runoff or local streams. THe ducks that frequent to ponds seem alive and well. My ducks prefer the 2ndary to our house water. We set two identical waterers out. One with house and the other with 2ndary. The house was tasted but the 2ndary was drank. Funny thing.
