I hope jrleader99 isn't hesitating to post because he's afraid of disappointing us! I want him to know that if he doesn't get anything out of the hatch, and if he decided/decides not to give her any chicks, that's totally fine, and we support him either way, because she's his chicken & it's his life, etc. etc. We're not in his shoes, so we can't make these decisions for him. We'd just (respectfully) like to know how it came out, and nobody's going to blame him if it didn't go the way they'd like.

But we'd REALLY like to know....

I lost power Thursday night and didn't get it back til this evening (Sunday night)...it could be that he is having trouble with the weather. Here in NH we got like, a freakin' hurricane(TERRIBLE wind and pouring rain)...but down where he is I think they got dumped on with 11 bazillion feet of snow or something? He could DEFINITELY be dealing with weather issues. Weather is no joke..I know he has kids too, it sucks having no power with terrible cold weather outside and kids (AND CHICKENS!) to try and keep happy. I have a 20 month old and a 3 month old and my house was 40 degrees inside for three days...the last thing on my mind was BYC, you know?

We'll give you some slack OP, while you get through whatever you've got going on....but an update, ANY update - even if it's just "I don't want to talk about it but everyone is okay" - would be much appreciated!

yeah this posting about it has taken on a life of its own..... I think we're just having fun bugging about it as much as anything. LOL. And cheering for ya one way or another.

I think he has been abducted by aliens! come on man, post an update and put us all out our misery, this is taking up so much of my time each day, I have to check in so often waiting for a reply it's driving my family nuts.
