Securing Chain Link Doors

Door swings inward. Near the hinge the mesh is curled inward slightly at the edge so it doesn't "pop" past the overlap and yet it's still enough to form an overlap when closed. I tweaked things as I went while installing it until it worked.

Not saying this is 100% the best way to secure a gap like this, as a determined predator could force their way through with some combo of pushing/pulling, however I mainly use this to deter rodents and it seems to work well for that purpose.

Correct, it's held in place with bungee cords. Unhook the cord, kick it over, chickens come out for some time in the grass.

It's also some very small amount of extra security, since it's just another item in the way of accessing the gap. The white rack even trapped and killed a rat that got its head stuck.

gotcha, my husband went and bought some treated lumber and he is making a permanent frame on the outside of the door so I can come and go easily and it covers the gaps securely. thank you for all your input!!!!
