Steel wool first and then great stuff. The great stuff will hold the steel wool in place and if the rodent wants to try and chew the great stuff he gets braces.

This is true, but nothing stops them from slithering in the pop door. Been there, seen that!

The steel wool is a great idea, and the Great Foam is too, but I make a mess out of that stuff.

Steel wool can come dislodged and you don't want the chicken eating it.

The HC bundles is the best here, IMO.
They don't even need to be tightly wrapped, but tight in the space.
