Seed starting problems

I've a question about starting seeds in those little greenhouse seed starters. I've heard that the greenhouses should NOT be put on a window sill, with the plastic lids on. I dont have a heat thingy to set the greenhouses on. Can I set the greenhouse in the window sill without the lid?

Yep. The big issue is too much condensation which would result in fungus killing the plants. If you can prop the lid enough to keep water from beading on it, the lid will still hold in some heat. Take it off occasionally to allow good air exchange. Then you'll want to take it off for good the minute you see those first sprouts.
