Seeking avian flu experiences

Hi everyone, I'm a reporter with the New York Times covering agriculture and the USDA. I'm doing a story about the impact of the avian flu epidemic on commercial and backyard poultry farmers. You may want to reach out to this person. She and her family lost their flock of roughly 400 birds up in Monroe county in April 2022. I have no idea how or if they repopulated their flock as every single bird on the property was dispatched by the state. She posted her story to FB and may be willing to talk to you.
