We got three chickie girls as newborns last May. They're great little layers, but we have them primarily as pets. They're total love-bugs and super spoiled!

Husband and I have decided we'd like to get them a rooster for companionship and protection purposes. I know people are often looking for good homes for unwanted roosters, so we want to offer up a "forever home" to one reasonably social rooster. Age and breed are unimportant to us. The only thing we care about is that he's friendly towards people (not a run-in-fear type like all our neighbors' chickens) so that we can bond with him over a bag of "flock party" and some yummy veggies 🐓.

Torchic, Marcie Joy and Little Debbie can't wait to meet their new beaufriend :D!

I have an EE cockerel, who needs a new home, his time is running short.

The only issue is you'll have to travel though.

How far? Gas money and mileage on an old car is a concern, but I could go as far as maybe 2h out for a friend's little guy...

I’m in Montgomery and have a few roosters I raised from eggs this year ready to leave. They’re mixes though; two are a mix of black copper maran and amerucuna and the female I hatched from that pair lays green eggs, really big and they do eat from your hand but are suspicious of newer people so might need to warm up to you first, one is a blue andulusian who has never attacked anyone but is very “up in your buisiness” and likes to run up to you like he’s going to and then another mix.

Yeah, I tried that first, but the majority of people don't bother to indicate location in the thread title, making it very frustrating. I did spot one just now for Austin, Tx and sent a pm because their young rooster sounds perfect for us and is drop-dead gorgeous :D.
