Seemingly No Survival Instincts

That's the joy of domestication. I can throw food scraps right at their faces and rather than duck, they stand there with mouths open, hoping to catch something mid air.
I like playing 'Chicken pong' and trying to bounce treats off their backs...

Treats don't always bounce so well. I end up with a few hens walking around with sunflower seeds, mealworms, or bits of greens stuck in their back feathers, until another bird walks by and goes, "Hey, there's a buffet on your back!"

This happens with my hens except I have two hens that get VERY offended when another hen tries to eat those snacks. I swear I could make a soap opera out of the amount of chicken drama I have!!
