selecting a bantam breed

Anyone know how bantam Cornish are for laying? I know the LF version isn't said to be a good mother, but some sources I've looked at for bantams say they are "decent" for laying.

Bantam Hamburgs are supposed to be sweet little things. The normal sized Hamburgs are like shy teenagers, but I've heard just the opposite for the banties. They are so beautiful, too. We're looking into getting some bantie silkies and possibly seramas.

Bantam Hamburgs and OEGBs are great birds, beautiful, active and good layers. And if you breed for nice plump breasts they are quite tasty also

So I've narrowed my choices to three: OEGB, d'Uccle, and bantam EE. Anyone have any final words to sway me one way or the other?

I have 3 banty hens that are broody. There are two whites and one black. Why are they always broody and want to hatch eggs since I got them 2 years ago.

I'm a little late on voting, but I vote bantam wyandotte, very sweet and good for meat too.
If not concerned about getting any meat though from excess roosters, the d'uccle is my 1st choice for you. the d'uccle is the tiniest bantam we've seen (our hen weighs 12 ounces at over a year old, and she's smaller than our seramas) Really we love them all though, so OEGB and modern game and EE are all great choices too.

I love my OEGBs and don't think I'll ever switch to a different breed. But, I'm tempted to get a couple of d'Uccle hens to go with my rooster, just to see how I like them. I'm also looking at the Malaysian Seryamas. Boy, aren't they cute? Unfortunately, I'm in the city, and can only keep so many chickens. Zoo, for now, I'll probably stick to my sweet little OEGBs, maybe getting a couple of hens for my D'Uccle Roo.
I'd highly recommend the OEGB for a pet. They are hardy, friendly and very small. Just what a pet chicken should be.
