Selecting breeds

I don't think you could go wrong with Cochins or Brahmas!

both of these breeds line up at my feet for back rubs!

I only have Bantam Cochins because everything I read said they lay small eggs & don't forage! (my bantams forage like crazy!!)

I decided it didn't matter I wanted full size so I ordered eggs they are LARGE 2.1oz ((I am so happy))

large goes by a size chart you follow to sell in PA http://www.agriculture.state.pa.us/agriculture/cwp/view.asp?A=3&Q=134067

Okay, we decided we want to limit it to 4 breeds, with 3 chickens of each.
So definetly black sex links, then what?

I love Cochins, Rocks & Brahmas! (all brown eggs)

If you want eggs of different colors Welsummer (chocolate brown eggs) are friendly, Americanas/EE (green, blue egga) mine follow me around & will tolerate me picking them up! Barred Holland (white eggs)

I don't know about most of the birds you listed, I don't like my wyandottes too much. Too Skiddish.

But buff orpingtons, Barred rocks, and speckled sussexes are supposed to all be very sweet birds. I'm adding them this year. My sexlinks are kinda mean, always picking on the others.

Dark egg layers are just a cool addition to the laying flock I would get sexlinks, marans/barnvelders/welsummers, and EE's that would be alot of veriety in your egg basket.

Good luck
Henry

I love my black sex-links!
