I am wanting to do some small coops/tractors, A-frame style, to use for selective breeding and as bachelor pads for some extra roos that I am keeping for project/experimental purposes. I was wondering what size I should do for 2 chickens, one hen, one roo, though it will probably only be 2 for a day or two, for breeding, then the roo will be moved out to a different pen with another hen or to a bachelor pen, and it will be just the hen while she lays and, hopefully, goes broody. I was thinking 3or 4 ft wide, and maybe 6 ft long, not sure how tall. I don't want it too tall, but I know it needs to be tall enough to give them enough space. They would also be moved daily. I am planning on moving them down the walkways of the garden next year in order to keep the weeds and grass at bay, which is why I am wanting to do them A-frame style, so that it can move under bushier plants (and hopefully my stepdad can till the rows straight this time, they were ALL OVER THE PLACE this year!). Also, if anyone has a coop like what I am talking about, I would LOVE to see some detailed pictures so I can see how it was done. I've been trying to think it out in my head, as I have no idea how I would put cuts and overlaps and other complexities onto paper, and I just can't settle on a design. Most designs online are one zoomed out picture, and it doesn't really help much.

6x4 should be a good size for a footprint. How are you going to orient the coop/run cenario? You could probably do a 6x4 run with a 4x4 coop over part of it. The hen will almost definitely not go broody in the coop. You will have to incubate the eggs yourself. It should be tall enough that there is enough space for a roost without them bumping their heads, and tall enough that you can clean it without too much trouble.

That is a perfectly fine size, I would look through the tractor pages on this site for lots of photos and ideas.
