Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Re: Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie ThreadI think this one is Porcelain or Isabel, but not 100% sure just yet.

Looks to have too much buff or not diluted buff rather, not defined in head and wing w/ diluted black .
Could be buff, with blue underfluff
cute kid. Good to see them in another color other than white.

Would appreciate input from the genetic gurus on these 2 hens color. Supposed to be Porc. Any idea?? Buff body, blue/lavender heads & butts, blue/lavender feathers in wings also. I appreciate all the help, support and PM's. Means a lot to have others guidance when needed. Thank you all. ETA: They are lighter in color than what is showing and have lav/blue mixed in the buff. my cam has a mind of it's own...

this is exactly what I search out for in birds to use for porcelain/self blue apricot. As long as there isn't any blue in the bird that is. Not always an easy task. see my site dilutes if your curious http://www.pompadoursilkies.com/dilutes.html Oh and so people know the boy shown on there, Neville carries blue, a surpise I hatched from a lavender that showed ZERO sign of carrying the blue gene. I mean notta, none zip. And this birds father is from one of the known lavender breeders.
I'm not sure I have ever said this on this forum.... But if you ever sell, I'd love to have that bird:)

What part looks partridgy? She is relatively clear.

Sorry I was on my Ipod when I was looking at it. Its screen was really dark yesterday. So it made her look completely different. She looks good now that i'm on a computer. Maybe a tad dark.

me aside for asking questions. Thats the only way I know to learn, lol. She does not appear to have a true BLUE hue to her. I've even compaired the light blue from my blues bums, and her color is more grey/lavender like my D'uccles.
BTW, just so I understood you correctly, if I decided to place this girl you would want her for your program??
BTW, I really do need a mentor with these colors, lol...

So what color is this chick with all the lavender and yellow? Is this a PI baby? I'm trying to sort through the babies who will best suit my program, and am unsure about this one. I can take another pic of it next to a blue chick for compairson if needed. Any thoughts/input would be most appreciated. I have 3 of in this color.

I have blue partridge chicks/birds and these 3 look nothing like them. Maybe I should post more pics of them together?

color me confused.

I am new to silkies & their colors.I have been reading this forum for a few years now...just wasn't a member until a couple of months ago. Sometimes I have a heck of a time telling blues from blacks (not mine, but other people's usually)

..... how do you tell a blue partridge from a silver partridge?

ETA: I hate the chicken calculator...it gives me a headache

OK thanks! I need to check what I thought was grey. I know one has silver and I know one has red or gold in the hackles. Not sure about the others yet. All looked the same as chicks. Now feathering out and are easier to tell who is what.
