.
If someone was close to me so I could pick them up ,I might consider other varieties.
Deluxe heated basement accomodations for the winter await.
Spoiled rotten for sure
I only wish I knew how to attach his lonely photo

so how did he wind up alone? How did you hatch just one? Are you certain he's a HE?

One of our silkies has MADE IT CLEAR that she'd rather be a one pet household. She puts up with the chickens just to make nice with us. BUT SHE WANTED TO BE THE ONLY ONE. Then, she went broody, and has raised a few broods of chicks very well. But she still beats up on the other chickens if they get too close. Then she comes to me and sneezes her discontent, "why the @#! are all these darn chickens here?!"

I think maybe things change as they grow older. Solo's got you, and he will probably be very happy about that!

Must report: our Silkies prefer the cold of winter to a heated basement. Repeat: Cold of Winter! Cold of Winter!

"For Pete's sake, I'm wearing a down hat! I'm wearing a multilayered down coat, IT DOESN'T UNZIP even! It's ATTACHED!" , interpreted from "Kaak! BaKaak! pant pant pant" (tongue hangs out)

Though their fuzzy slippers sometimes need de-icing with a blow dryer. Don't worry, they'll hop it over to you to show you and complain.
