Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Do not get me wrong. If mixing colours is your joy, that is perfectly FINE. Just don't start selling to people who think they are getting a soon to be show winner, and expect to be getting recognised varieties.

I've contacted the breeder (whom I believe is fairly conscientious about her pens) directly to ask for some clarification. I'm not trying to make any waves. Just trying to understand what I have so I can make some educated decisions about how to move forward. Heck, I may not even be describing them properly!!!! (But I DO know what was written on the eggs and what hatched out of which egg. That part I can be sure of.)

Can all you self-blue experts tell me if this info applies to the US silkies? http://www.edelras.nl/belgians/colour.htm#lavblue

I'm very eager to hear the answer to this question as well because the link you posted is what I understand about blue v. lavender (self-blue) in general. So I would LOVE to hear from Silkie breeders as I understand some are combining blue with self-blue. Would love to hear their reasoning.
