Well u bought her and she was "laying or has laid before the owner said" but then I brougt her to my house and I figured that she was just getting used to her surroundings. But I'm upset she hasn't laid any since.

Silkies are so finicky. When I move my pens around, they get mad at me and stop laying for weeks.

I know-I fill their laying box with fresh shavings everyday ( they "dirt bath" in it) this keep their eggs very clean and I only do a big clean once a week-because they always stall the day I do and the day after!

My Lavender Hen went into a molt because she was moved and hasn't laid since then. I got her on April 17th. So, it takes them a while to start laying again. I think she may have laid one egg, but not sure, so I stuck that one in the bator. It was lighter than I usually get, so just keeping my fingers

So, It is common for a silkie to not lay for awhile when disturbed. I have the one egg in the bator praying it is fertile.
