yes they were from the same hatch.

Well the one is alot bigger than the other!

You can get different size silkies from the same hatch. I have 2 right now from the same hatch and one is larger than the other.

The odd thing is that I have two Lavenders and two Splits that are the same age and one Lavender and one Split is large while the other Lavender and Split are much smaller.

They'll eventually all get to about the same size. My roo's are of course are larger than my hens, but....... some hens are larger than others.

Do you have any pictures?

now that I think about it I did have 2 hatches 4 days apart, maybe there is a 4 day difference.

That is probably what it is, 4 days can make quite a bit of difference. You wouldn't think so, but it does.

My lav hen and roo are the same color. The color at hatch is a bit more variable thus far, although I am marking those that hatch a nice clear lav with vaulted skulls/correct toes. I suspect these will end up having better color, although we shall see. Funny thing is that I am getting a few of the clear chicks out of split black hens X lav roo as well as from the lav x lav breedings.

The fertility in the lav eggs is outstanding, and I have heard the same from other breeders as well. The recent outcrossing into another breed to get the lav gene must have added some hybrid vigor, because boy! I think I've had one or two infertile eggs from them all season, regardless of how hot or cold it is.
