Self blue or porcelain

Where are you all seeing a porcelain pattern?
I'm not seeing any buff, which should still be visible. The down lacks any lavender color.

I'll post better quality pic. The color is a pale gray or lavender. My eyes see gray.

Neither. It is white. Porcelains have a specific down pattern and the feathers have a certain look.

There is no pattern on this chick anywhere and it is pure white.

Definitely no white in this little guy. My picture was poorly lit and then I tried to correct it. I'll take a better one. But there is no white anywhere that I can see.

Okay yeah that makes sense. Hoovers is known for bad quality.

That's why I wondered. I've looked at pics of the porcelains and they definitely have a particular pattern. This little guy is solid with no variation. It will be fun to see how she/he turns out. It's such a pretty unique color.

Pattern doesn't develop until the bird is a bit older. Chick feathers don't always reflect adult feathers.

The lavender should still be darker
