None knows everything about chickens,much less everything about everything.

We all strive for knowledge,but noone is all knowledgeable.

We can all put our experiences together and go for what works,of course with the few rebels thinking outside the box(e.g. me sometimes), but for the most part on here there are very knowledgeable people here whom I take advice and dispence it daily.

The thing to remember is not even experts agree with each other. One set of research will often completely contradict another.

What I do, from reading many, many posts, is learn who actually seems to know what they are talking about. For example, Patandchickens is very knowledgeable about coop ventilation, building, horses, etc. So when she posts something, I know it's very good advice. Same with several other good, long standing members (mods usually have very good advice, as well).

So if it's someone you don't 'know' well, maybe take the advice with a grain of salt, and do some more checking. We have lots of stickys on here that are very helpful.

I dont think there is ALWAYS ONE way to do something..
Some may do things differently than you... doesnt make it wrong though..
Actually how do we know ANYONE on here REALLY knows what they are talking about? We really dont...
If i'm really unsure about something..i'll get ideas from folks on here and i appreciate the advice they give me... and then i'll also use my common sense and make my OWN decisions about something.
So ultimately, its MY decision and MY fault if something goes wrong.

Yes, I understand what you are all saying. I guess I'm just not used to the whole forum thing. Also, I don't tend to give advice unless I truly know what I'm talking about. I will give a story about my personal experience, and perhaps a suggestion about something I've done, but I won't claim to know for sure.

And yes, I suppose there are several right ways to do things, so, I didn't want to sound like a poohead, just wanted to gripe a bit, as this particular thread upset me.

Here here!!! Amen!!! I have a board/thread that I have out for everyone to see... I post case and point with pictures etc.. that was ppl have an informed choice.. I get a naysayer all the time to the thread that pulls rank and acts just generally poopy... I am not sure what to do with it....It is a complex issue.. I am thinking Manson...
