Sell Me On A Duck Breed

Pics
When are the ducklings arriving?
Well I got an email on Thursday. It was a bit depressing. Metzer said the ducklings would ship out on Monday or Tuesday and that I should receive them either on Thursday or Friday. That is a full three days and that scares me. Dummy me didn’t think this one through. I shouldn’t have ordered from a hatchery that was on the opposite end of the US. Those babies will be in transit a full three days! What was I thinking?

I am always around, but I am so busy hiding from the covid 19 Virus I don’t always have time to type a reply.
Always around like a lingering old fart! :gig

Yes, please hide. We want you lingering a long time!

Speaking of lingering, I’ve been working on that duck house for the past several days and I’ve just been putting on the same shorts and top. I think it’s time for a change, but my supervising chicken hasn’t mentioned it, so why bother?:lau:lau

Did you ask for gro gel and heat pad? Next week we’re to have a cool spell. If you ask for these it will help but hopefully Metzers will take care of all of this.

Chicks can handle three days without feed, but that is pushing it. As I understand it, that is the day their yolk is fully digested. Hopefully, they mail them the second they hatch.

I was finishing up my maple syrup boil last night and I was attacked by a wild dux!

They are working in concert with Geeze this year. I warned you all it would happen.

First the gooze flew over at low altitude from the northeast. I warned him off. Then a few minutes later a lone bomber dux came from the south East. I bravely threw myself over the syrup to protect the valuable food supply. The dux missed me with his germ laden poop bombs.

I Was lucky this time..
