These are the best ones I could find of her. About a year ago. Now her neck is crooked and tucked closer to her body. She is still happy and otherwise healthy and the sassiest Duck we have.

Nooooo! Not on the rocks!
Try it warm in a Cognac glas: First inhale some of that beautiful almond aroma into your nose, then take a sip and enjoy the flavour explosion in your mouth.
Whiskey is on the rocks, but Di Saronno is best at body temperature, like an aged Cognac.
Well dang, how did I not know that!?! Is it too early this morning to try it? :gig

To pinion is to actually amputate part of the wing.
it is permanent and unnecessary if you are getting large breeds that cannot fly.
I personally would not do that to my calls that can fly. I just clip their wings if I have any that are trying to be escape artist.
I cannot speak for Muscovy because I do not have those. I do know they can roost in trees which might be a problem if you are wanting to lock them up in a coop at night... so I see why that would be something to think about with them.
I would probably still just wing clip instead of doing that.
the only advantage to pinion your bird over wing clipping is it would be permanent, where clipping wings has to be done every time they molt and re grow their flights.
Oh yeah, I won’t be amputating any of my birds’ wings! Too drastic, too permanent! No need. But I guess it’s an option for some.

Not really, i am coughing my lungs out since 10 days, tests for CoVid19, Sars, Mers and Influenza were all negative. Would i still live in TX, i'd go with cedar-fever, but there are no cedar trees here in WV. Even cough syrup with codeine won't help… 😫
Oh law, I am so sorry. I haven’t been on many other threads lately so I wasn’t aware you’ve been under the weather.

Be sure and keep on top of this so you don’t accidentally pick up corona. Take another swig of Disaronno. It’s gotta be good for helping you feel a little better.

Get well, HillBilly!

Mimi update on arrival?
Well, I’ve received conflicting notifications, which is making me ill at ease. Metzer said I could very receive them TODAY, which I’m praying for. However, I signed up for travel updates from the USPS and the last text I received said they would be here by 8 PM on Thursday. And of all times for there to be a huge dip in the temps here. It has been 80’s/50’s here for several weeks and last night it dipped into the 50’s/30’s yesterday and last night. So now I’m worried about them being too cold.

I am really bummed about that. I have everything ready for them. Heat plate is turned on, water at room temp, feeder full, yada, yada, yada! Now I wait.

I was gonna jinx myself into them coming today by not taking a shower. Then I looked at myself and thought, “Nope! This ain’t gonna be what they imprint on!” So I ran and jumped in. I’m ready for that phone to ring!
