Selling Eggs? Bad day rant..

haha yes I get plenty of them myself and know exactly what you mean. Ive had everything from someone telling me feeding them anything but natural feed is wrong to my favorite is I sell nothing but straight run and tell people this before they come out. Just to have a few months later a phone call chewing me out as they have a few roosters. I could go on and on but hey as someone else pointed it out its what you get dealing with the public.

my girls will not touch slugs, but i have a cat who we thought was rabbid or had some weird mouth gunk disease, my daughter and i cleaned her mouth of all the gunk every night for a few days, until my BH caught her eating slugs... it was all the jelly gunk from the inside of them all over her mouth!

i have never much liked that cat since

THANK GOD I have 9 roosters laying right now while my girls are going through their molt or I wouldn't be able to keep up the quota! I still can't figure out which roo is laying the green egg, though. I really haven't noticed a tangy flavor, but then I put it in with my Fruit Loops anyway.

last night jus as i was putting the birds up,, a gang of bike riding kids came,, asked if i had any fighting roosters,,, i said, all roo's fight,,, they all smiled, said how much for 1,, i said $3,000.00 a piece,,,,,,,, they left,,,,hehehe

Good for you!! I hate when they come and only want Roos, but won't say what they want them for. I store their # in my phone under DO NOT SELL!

Oh, and they say "I used to raise fighting chickens, but I don't do that anymore. " But all they want to look at are my Game Bantam Roos. PUH-LEASEEE.........

I only have 3 laying so far and offered them to family. But one neighbor, upon me telling him about my EE's and green eggs, informed me that they were cholesterol free. Now I know that home grown eggs have less cholesterol but none???? I figure and egg is an egg no matter what color.

A lady sold my dad some brown/blue eggs (combo) (he lives 2 hrs from us or he'd get 'em free from us) anyways... he asked her what kind of chicken lays a blue egg.. she said her RIR's.
I was so confused when he told me this.
So then he asked me to look 'em up online... so I came here and asked. Well, I couldn't find anywhere that said RIR's lay blue eggs! So it's not just the customers who don't know much their chickens/eggs!
