Selling eggs

I bought a bunch of cartons and put my own labels on them. I have a small sticker that is also on the carton that says please return the cartons at your next purchase or something to that effect.
It doesn't add that much to your expenses and you are reusing them.
I know some people who give a 25 cent discount off of each dozen eggs for each carton a customer returns to her.

Now, on another note, there are some other threads here that state its not legal to use supermarket eggs to sell your own in.
It says you can reuse your own but not some that other eggs came in.
I am under the impression it was for contamination but I am not completely sure its not to do with using someone else's packaging to market your own.
I would do a search on this and see what you come up with.

It would be worth your time to do an internet search and find out your state's rules and regulations concerning selling eggs. Just use any search engine and type in your state+selling eggs. In some states it is illegal to use another company's cartons to sell your fresh eggs. Whether or not you get caught at it would depend on how strictly the law is enforced.

We live in a wonderful state were I don't think you need to worry about that. I give/sell my eggs in used cartons all the time. If you are still concerned one line with a black marker over the main name should be enough. If I have the time I use a crayon and write in my last name over their brand.
For a copyright violation you need to have intent. In no way are you trying to pass off your eggs as price chopper eggs (who would).
We go to the town recycling center and they give us tons of egg cartons.
