Once our girls started laying steadily OldGal and I discovered that we really couldn't eat 8-12 eggs a day. Who would have thought? At first OldGal sold them where she worked with great success, but than she changed jobs (better job and higher wages) and we came to the conclusion that selling eggs while working at a grocery store probably wasn't a wise career move.
Next we tried an ad on Craig's list. Several responses but no buyers. Next I put up an 8½" x 11" sign on our mail box that read, "Farm Fresh Brown Eggs $2.50 per Dozen Honk Horn for Service". Nothing. Nadda! Ad in the Green Sheet, no good.
Well, as a final effort I tried a larger sign on the road:
It measures about 2' x 3', and it really works. Every 2-3 days someone stops, even though it's not a heavily traveled road and buys 2-3 dozen at $2.75/dozen.
