Sensitive ears, or what?

Do chickens have sensitive ears? Everytime I yell "Chicky Chicky Chicky" they sometimes shake their heads like it hurts their ears. Or if I call my chicken my it's name like "Domino" or "Shadow" they shake their heads.. Why is this? Thanks!

Might be because you're yelling? My chickens much prefer a lower, calm tone.

Well when I'm on the back porch I yell Chicky but then I will say the chickens name in a soft voice & they still shake their head

You could stop talking to them and just shake a cup full of chicken scratch...then their little legs will come running.
