I have had 1 Americana Rooster, 4 Austrolops, 2 Rhode Island Reds, and 1 Bared Rock for over a year now. I was just given 2 Certified Buckeye hens and 1 Buckeye Rooster. I would like to start collecting and hatching out/selling the fertilized Buckeye eggs, but not sure how to keep them all separate. I have been free ranging the flock letting them roost and lay in the barn and roam all around the barn and house and surrounding farm fields. I have about 1/4 acre fenced off area on both sides and rear of the barn broke up into three fenced areas with goat fence. (4 inch holes). Would it be acceptable to leave the Buckeye's in the fenced in area and the rest outside? Or do I need to enclose the Buckeyes or the Americana Rooster?
