Best to use it the medicated if your chicks are isolated in a brooder. I lost 2 by taking them outside for a run and explore. They got coccidiosis they had no immunity and were non medicated. The rest of my flock are fine. These chicks were isolated and hand raised destined to be shipped to a buyer.
