My female rouen is sitting on a nest of her and my female black swedish duck's eggs,,however, the set up I have is 2 females and 1 pekin male. I want to know if they can all stay together after the young hatch? they have a large enclosure for night, then during the day they roam in their large outdoor enclosure,,has a small pond and tree's ect..
is this ok? or should I take the babies away from her once they hatch? I hate to do this seeing as they should be raised by their mom,,
thanks,,

Don't take the babies away, you'll miss out on so much enjoyment, the drake may present a problem that you'll have to watch for, some drakes will kill ducklings. either move him temp. or just make sure you are with them to monitor his behavior.

ya,,I figured I will just go out and build a separation and have the male and the swedish female on one side,,and the mom and babies on the other...to be safe. I would hate to see the male kill the babies. I'll have to figure something out :)
thank you..
