Separating ducks from chickens?

They were all shipped together so they have been together since they hatched this past July.
The chickens don't seem nearly as attached to the ducks.
One of my ducks won't even go into the coop at night till every last chicken is in. They are funny. They try to herd the chickens all the time. The chickens usually just ignore them lol

That's what I was thinking; waiting till I got some new ducklings.
From what I've read I've lucked out with my ducks putting themselves to bed at night so hopefully they will teach the new ones to do the same and it can be a beneficial change for everyone.
No floods here. I'm in Rhode Island. Although the ducks create their own kind of mess that would make you think it's been rainy lol
That's just another reason why I want to move them into their own coop. With them being more cold tolerant than the chickens I have more options for ground covering and nesting that would be less messy.
Right now I have one little silkie that can't roost and I need to make sure she has plenty of bedding to keep her warm and dry. Which is a constant battle keeping things nice with the ducks.

I use a nipple system inside their coop for water. The ducks still make quite the mess but I'm sure it would be a lot worse with other types of watering. They have a bucket outside the coop as well, and the ducks have the kiddie pools.
My ducks will try to put themselves in the smallest containers of water even if they can only fit a foot lol
I can only imagine how hard it is to keep things dry with flooding :/

This is my coop and run for the chickens.
They are all allowed to free range in the yard during the day as long as someone is home to keep an eye. The chickens need more babysitting than the ducks as the ducks can't get into anything or go anywhere they shouldn't. Ideally the ducks would never have to be locked up in a run. I have a very good dog that can keep away predators while no one is home.
Also I believe although they love their chickens that being cooped up with them makes the ducks roudier than they would be otherwise. My chickens don't per say fight but their little pecking order antics get the ducks going. They try to keep the peace.
They are all only 6 months old

Wow it seems my duck are softies, beyond their chattering and trying to yell at and herd the chickens they really have no ground to stand on with them. Unless there is a real threat like one of the ducks sounds the hawk alarm the chickens just ignore them and go about their business.
At treat time my ducks get pushed aside and I usually have to hand them their treats or they won't get any.
