@Whitewolf9 That sucks to hear about that chick. Just before you replied I saw you post stating that the chick was getting picked on. For young chicks, especially chica under 4 months or bantam varieties, I think it is always a good idea to keep a couple of plastic storage totes handy. They are easy to clean and stow. They work great for quarantining sick and injured chicks. They also work well a starter brooders and for transporting chicks and chickens.Thank you. I brought it inside in a dog crate because the 13 other chicks were trampling it,standing on top of it, and pecking at its naked bottom to prevent further injuries and bullying. I tried to put a seperate wall in the brooder so it could still stay in there but it isn't possible with my brooder set up, I will definitely change the design after this batch of chicks are outside. It has improved a little where it’s kind of pushing itself to the feed and waterer in there. It is eating and drinking the normal amount, it’s just having to back itself to it and twist around to eat and drink if im not assisting it. Definitely still having balance issues, cant stand up completely by itself. Feet keep going in front of It with it sitting on its bottom, if that makes sense. I cant figure out how to post a video on here.
A dog crate works very well for quarantining and separating older chicks and adult chickens. Good choice there. I was wondering how to post videos as well. I think you have to upload videos to sites like YouTube, Vimeo, FaceBook, Instagram, TikTok, etc and then post a link from those sites. If there is another way, I don’t know what it is.
