We bolted two together- worked great!

Went to our local pharmacy, this was on sale for 75% off!!!

At 5 bucks, we bought two! One for the chicks and one for outside. Maybe I'll put cardboard around then mesh on top to keep them in, if anyone has any ideas or recommendations id apreciate it. We keep chicks in the garage so it won't be chilly, plus should be plenty space for the chicks I am keeping
I've been trying to get a melon box but I've asked everywhere around me and the only place that said they'd give me one won't have one for like another month or two.

Just finishing up day 23 in the bator. Had a barnevelder hatch this morning. Was going to pull the plug in the remaining eggs, opened up the lid to pull eggs out and noticed an egg pipping... Hopefully this little one isn't too weak. Altogether for this hatch, 13/15 of my own barnyard mix, 5/11 isbar shipped and 3/4 barnevelder shipped. Used "dry" method.

Wow congrats those are good numbers. I never give mine extra time only because for some reason it smells awful, not sure what I'm doing wrong or my unhatched are dead and yucky and no point in giving extra time?

Well, just checked the incubator, two pips have been started!
One is on the wrong end tho, so im not sure if i'll be needing to assist it, i hope it'll be ok!

Yay! I've had wrong ends hatch faster than the weak so you never know, good luck

Total bummer tonight in my shipped eggs. Only 3/12 are still going for sure as I can see chick moving. 2 are questionable due to being to dark to see more than a blob.
The BBS not started hatch is on day 3 of those two. one has veins the other has a couple of veins but not in the right spot so it's questionable. The 4 Lavenders on day 3 one might not make it but not checking it due to the missing shell peice. The other 3 have good veins.
The 2 BBS that I took out from Dash are going strong and can see chick moving. Possibly on day 13-14 now but according to the breeder day 12.
Dash is still sitting faithfully on 10 eggs. I will be giving her back the 2 and also giving her the 3 shipped eggs (this is still up in the air). The will have to go under her for hatching so I don't mess up the six that are just starting.

If you have a bad smell you've had a bad egg for a while. They don't smell immediately. Or, your incubator is dirty and smelly.

Two chocks have hatched!! The two olive egger eggs! Pics to come later on.

I have no new pips though on my eggs and the ones that have pipped haven't done much more...it's day 22 now, i'm getting worried out of 17 eggs only two are gonna hatch!

One of them made a bigger hole and is breathing out of it so hopefully it'll make it! The other one i don't kow, it got bumped by the two chicks so i can't see anymore!

I haven't had any to smell. Even have had a couple to ooze and still not smell.

I had two that were oozing and still didn't smell. Haven't had any to smell yet, thank goodness.

Is it normal for the little chickies to peck at each other...? my two olive eggers seem to almost attack each other (one is more feisty than the other, i suspect roo. lol)

Yes, they can ooze without smelling. Usually that is a tiny crack in the shell, not necessarily a bad egg. The incubator shouldn't stink though. Maybe you are smelling normal hatching smell. Do you remove the egg shells during hatch? I usually remove the babies and their shells as soon as possible (shells right away, and babies as soon as they are walking).
