September and October Hatch-A-Long

I have a couple of Egyptian Fayoumi eggs due to hatch Thursday the 3rd.  They look good so far, they will be the first to hatch from my trio if they do.  Fingers crossed!

Mine are crossed too. My cl are from my breeding grupo as well

I never put mine on lockdown.... I leave them in the turners.[/quoter ] I would never leave them in the turners as it can cause problems when the chicks are getting ready to hatch

I tried taking them out most never hatched the bottom of the bator sucks the moisture out of them. this way i get more then half to hatch.

Is your incubator a still air or do you have a fan? If it has a fan, I wonder if the air might be drying them out? I am new at this so I really don't know. I am just trying to justify that mine are fine on the bottom of the incubator. Lol

I have one of each and i generally get the same hatch rate with both. Ive tried setting them on the side, putting them in egg cartons for hatch,etc never had good hatched those ways. I dont turn my turner off until i see a pip. works for me.

If I don't get a good hatch, I will try that next time

My quail should be hatching tomorrow. So excited!
