SEPTEMBER EGG SWAP . . . . . . October Swap starting soon!!!!!

Its a surprise, lol I will tell you that they are all mutts but they should be very good egg laying mutts. I have some in the bator now and am sooo impatient to candle. They are on day 4 so trying to be patient. Only have one roo in with the ladies. Had to get rid of his brothers cause the ladies were getting way to much attention. I was hoping the black bantam Cochin that I got last month would have started laying as that would have been a nice pure bantam egg for you but she hasn't laid since I got her darn it. I will tell you that my signature was updated with my chickens after I got rid of the other two roos. I can also say that you got eggs from probably every one of my hens. That should be enough of a clue for you lol.

Yes, they arrrived safely!! I unpacked them but didnt have time last night to unwrap them but there wasn't anything oozing out of the bubblewrap so I think they are fine. I know they are mixed but what are they??

emvickery, the quail eggs arrived safely too. I can't believe you bubblewrapped all those little eggs.

Thats how I do it. I want to make sure they don't get hurt. I had an order for50 once and I sent 6-+. Now that was work. lol. It was worth it as long as they don't get broken.

No eggs for me yet. Unless somehting comes today. I sure could be putting some quail eggs in the bator if I knew how much space I needed for my swap eggs. I have over 2 doaen eggs waiting to go in. I did get 6 chicks yesterday and more are hatching today. I don't know why it takes them so long to hatch when they are all put in at the same time. I got the first one just after midnight on the 15th and woke up to a total of 6. My bators have been going crazy since the weather changed. And the fan went out in one. I really need a cabinet bator BAD! These quail are shooting them out faster than I can hatch them out and I thinned them out so I could keep up. I'm sure the Bob Whites will stop soon. I only got 3 yesterday. I have 5 hens. We would have just 3 but the coon that let some of them out so it could have a meal didn't eat all in the pen. They got away. Now i'm covered in poison ivy or sumac from claimbing through the woods trying to catch them. We have them back, all but 1 hen.

I should be getting my new roo this weekend. I was hoping he would show last wekend but no luck.

I eggs I sent have arrived

that was fast now I'm waiting for mine maybe they will come to be set on one of the "setting eggs" days. I set some from hens I sent and it looks like they are all developing hopefully I'll have some spring layers to sell.
