September Hatch-A-Long

Bet we can guess where you'll be this weekend! Hope you didn't have any plans other than being glued to the incubator.

... Planned a work at home weekend anyways.... Broody is set to start hatching Sunday or Mon by my guess... I have already started saving eggs for the next run of the incubator tho... Want to get one last hatch in before it turns to cold! :)

LOL Thats the stuff, its been a long week, can't remember the name

I looked up vita sol and it is a vitamin drop for baby caged birds like parrots. So I did another search for the Poly-Vi-Sol. Here is the link that lists the info https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/107123/dosage-for-poly-vi-sol

Orginally I had posted asking for info on the Poly-Vi-Sol but then went in and edited after I searched the vita sol thinking you wanted different info than I did. Careful trying to follow my thought process you might end up with wry neck yourself

lol...Thank you!! I'm not sure that much is going to help the 2 I have. Not sure whats the deal with them. I watched a video on wry neck and it wasn't what my chick is doing but I'm sure there are so many different ways chick act. I believe the humane thing is to cull it and put it to sleep. My other chick, not sure what its problem is. I know he has one curled foot and that is taped, but it will not walk just flops and not splayed legged at all, neck and rest of body looks good. It does have a little bit of a herniated rectum that I have been putting ointment on. Not much hope for them and like I keep reading, even though this might be my fault, you really don't want them for breeding. Of course the 2 are blue laced where the other 2 healthy ones are I think splash. Good luck with your chicks and hatching and thank you again!
