Hi everyone!

My two Seramas are doing great!! I do have one noisy chick. Perfectly healthy, just a VLP. (Very LOUD Peeper) Toys, fresh cool water, and some attention have helped a bunch!

They’re starting to stand super upright already, with their itty bitty pin feathers pointing straight down! My heart!!

They are beautiful!!! I have a couple Serama eggs in the incubator myself. The waiting game is the worst! 😂

Have you started making rooster or hen guesses yet? I can’t help but wonder how many I have of what when I have chicks… ;)

Awww congrats!! Yes, it was super hard to wait for these babies…luckily it was graduation time and we were so busy they actually hatched without being on lockdown!!! (They are my first of this breed and I didn’t know they tend to come early!) Luckily I had at least started to gradually increase incubator humidity, and it was up to 60-70% when these two came busting out of their eggs. 🤣 Perfect pip and zip on both!
I originally thought maybe I had a rooster and a hen… their pin feathers were vastly different compared to each other at a few days old. But now I’m not sure cause both have little tail feathers that stick straight up!!!
And they already hold the wings down! 🥹
They are SASSY little babies and doing great; had pasty butt one time when I cleaned and forgot to turn the heating plate back on…resolved easily with a Q-tip and warm water. (Plus loads of patience!)
I can’t wait to see what you hatch!!!

Nice!!! I just put my eggs into lockdown a few minutes ago. Anytime now! ;)

I love the little upright tails! It gives them so much attitude and personality. 😂

I’ll try to remember to post some pictures when they hatch! Do you have any recent photos of your lil’ chicks? 🥰

Awww!!! So adorable! Congratulations! Yes they do grow up fast. Mine are flying now! And the have lots of feathers coming in, they do look frizzled, and possibly both roosters. I’ve still not let them outdoors, I’ll need a chicken run for them.

So fun!!! I’m not entirely looking forward to the flying stage… It’ll mean my little one has to go outdoors faster! ;)

I wish you lots of luck with finding the perfect coop and run. I bought a custom chicken tractor from Smoky Mountain Chicken Tractors, and it has served me very well! Though, since I made it nearly as large as possible, it is ridiculously heavy and hard to move. 🤣
