This chick hatched early because his mom pecked his shell. He has dried poop on his navel that I am afraid to remove because it is attached to his navel. I have tried soaking in warm water under a faucet with dawn soap. I sprayed saline on it. The chick is drinking and pooping normally but not eating much and makes a clicking sound when he breathes. He hatched on Thursday and I thought he might be dead when I came home today but he is still chirping happy when with his mom and unhappy when I try to help him.
