Too bad you weren't there. They did a raffle for some serama eggs.
I think there were 30 eggs, but a couple of them were the Dutch Silkies.
Went to a young boy. He was so happy.

What do you mean by Silkies housing? Are you referring to my coops?

And they were picky, but thats because they judge a lot more details of the bird in their country. They stated that they are only expected to judge up to 80 birds in an entire day at one of their shows, while an American APA judge is EXPECTED to judge at least 350 per show or they dont get hired!

i didn't get to go but my friend went. we were suppose to be getting torrential rain on saturday and i just couldn't leave my chickens behind. good thing cuz we got 6 inches of rain in an hour and then some. my back pasture is a lake. i lost several baby chicks that the momma couldn't keep warm and one of my buildings that houses the feed got torn apart by a gust of wind. there was a tornado chaser parked down the street from my house with his wind gadget on his car.

i still was able to talk to my friend between getting cut off by lightening and was able to have her purchase a chocolate rooster for me. i hope my two chocolate laced girls will produce nice babies for me.

hope to be able to make it next year.
