yup, from my understanding, he's very big, but my two girls are lighter "b" class and i have a buff boy that's a D and he spits out b's all the time, so i'm hoping he'll do the same. crossing fingers.

How cute! I wish I had been able to go,...I just hatched my first four seramas, and it looks like they will be light colored for three and a black one for the fourth. They have such HUGE personalities,a nd are so friendly!!

Too bad there are no serama shows closer...most folks out here dig horses, not chickens lol.

i got my chocolate boy last night and he didn't look big until i put my two girls in the cage with him. one is an A and the other a B class and BOY, he makes them look TINY.

i hope he gives me some small babies. i have him with my chocolate laced girls and so i'm hoping to raise more chocolates.

if anyone has a serama boy that is mottled (no other color than black and white), and more on the white side than black, i'd be interested in purchasing him. thank you.

I have a quite yong serama cockeral & hen. Both look to be growing into a good breed 'standard'.

Would you show them at 2 months to help them get used to being shown, even if they can't win? Or wait until fully mature to show?

my seramas are going on three weeks, and their little chests are pouffy and their wing feathers nearly touch the floor...they are so darling! Due to this, I would have to say much of it is born into them...but mine dont stretch upwards yet, unless you tickle them under the chin

Mine rarely stand upright. They prefer to run around looking like an ordinary chicken, chasing bugs. The only time I see the pose is when they're trying to start something with another member of their flock.

The link makes me feel like that's normal, but I just wandered what other Serama owners have observed. The majoirty of the pics show the pose, and not casual behavior.

i know alot of people who train them to stand that way. they already have the stance, you can just improve on that stance by daily training. and the more you handle them, the better they will show since the judges will be taking them out of cages and looking at them sometimes.
