If this person is a breeder, certainly you would think they know this is not a good picture. Unfortunatly thee are alot of people just wanting to make a fast buck.

I've been in the photography business for 35 years and I must say that chickens are VERY difficult to photograph, even if you know what you're doing. At least with (trained) dogs you can say "sit" and they will pose for you. Chickens always seem to pose with their butts sticking up.

Here is another near cull since I didnt wait to see how he matured.... I didnt like his waddles when he was young.
He was such a mellow guy, very friendly and as you can see always underfoot wanting to sit with you to be picked up. Definitely a trait I would like to see in more Seramas.
Not the best picture since he is chilling, not all my birds are in constant pose, especially the very tame ones when they are being more submissive...but thats just my birds.

Im just thinking we are all so quick to judge, and just wanted to be positive! I think we should offer some constructive criticism instead of "NOT A SERAMA"all the time. Sure, not everyone has birds like they do in the south, but we are trying. Especially those of you that REALLY know type, and know what to look for in birds. Some of you are that far along in your breeding lines to offer great constructive information! The OP is lucky to be down there where better birds are readily available. And I doubt that many of the birds with exceptional type would be 25 dollars unless you were a neighbor or friend, but you could hunt in your area to save on shipping costs. I think I would talk to this breeder to see what they have available and what they know if that is where you want to start. Then you can see if you are on the same page.
Im just a fanatical enthusiast and can only offer my own opinion, may or may not be the best out there, but its mine.
