Serama Hatch-A-Long!!

Pics
wishing you lots of good luck!!!

I'm trying not to get my hopes to high about my eggs so I'll take yours if it's a boy. I have a sweet little serama X EE I'm almost sure is a girl. If she is I want to pair her with a pure serama. I don't know what to do with her bro at this point but my daughter loves him quite a bit so I think he will end up staying.
Agggggggg.........I need to see what I get out of these eggs so I can clarify my breeding plan for spring.

Thanks! I must be patient now and not help too much as that can spell disaster. I will just hope for the best. If I help a chick too late then sometimes it is too exhausted so I will hope that is not the case.

I just realized that the first three of my silkied hen's eggs are already on day 13 or 14.. I am very excited to see what hatches!

I am going to need to keep an eye on my hens' eggs. It has been raining so much that they likely will need help out. Isn't that crazy? They hatch on their own when it has been dry.

My chick died. %#€%#>#|<#~#. That was the one I was hopeful for. So sad.

Not sure if the other one is alive.

Oh well, at least I have a silkied boy and a girl, even if she isn't perfect, I bet their babies will be nicer!

Thanks, the other one died too, but that wasn't surprising. I am still kicking myself a bit, it just sucks, but I don't think it is my fault really. From our communications, she was selling eggs that she didn't even really know we're going to develop. The eggs were really porous too. My eggs are much healthier. The breeder I got my silkied girl from has eggs with even thicker shells than mine. Her eggs are practically armored! They can be hard to hatch but they incubate well.

I have silkies hatching tomorrow-ish so that will make me feel better and Seramas in a week. Hatching can be so emotional, I appreciate the support : )
