Hi everyone! I have serama and bantam cochin eggs in the incubator....what day should lockdown be?
I started them on Wednesday, Aug 24.

I would do normal lockdown. I still lockdown on day 18 for Seramas.

So I candled today and only 6 of the Serama eggs are showing development. I hope they all make it to lock down

Candling day...one of my shipped cochin bantam and 4 of the serama eggs showed no veins. That leaves 15 cochin and 5 serama.

My daughter got into the incubator today and cracked two eggs. one was a bresse, one was a serama. I sealed the cracks with wax, but I've never had it work before. I'll leave them in for now but I think I'm down to 5 serama, and 8 LA bresse this hatch.

Hello everyone! Came home the other day to find 5 serama babies!!!

and then tonight checked out outside and 2 more hatched out! Al 7 look happy and healthy! Thought I would let everyone know the good news!

I have a rather cracked egg in my incubator on day 16. It was cracked under my frizzle broody pile. I put some tape on it but it has a huge air cell.

I had that problem too when I was beginning. It part of the way BYC limits spam. I think had to post 20 posts before they let me include pictures.
