Serama hatch part 3 (and a few odds and ends!) Hatch a Long

Just a suggestion Elfen… if you do get some new chicks for Dolly (I’m so sad for her… and you 😞), can you remove her and the chicks to an area where you can lock them up securely at night? Example: garage or shed. Your own little Fort Knox, so to speak. Then, place one of your cameras to watch the door. Your situation is so distressing. Since this continues to happen, change locations. You’re going to have to make it very difficult for an animal (or human) to get to Dolly and her chicks. I’m so sorry you and Dolly are going through this. 😞💔

How are you and Dolly doing @ElfenLied89? I’m so so sorry to hear about the losses. 😞 💔 I know WE ALL HOPE you can find out what’s happening once and for all, so you and your girls can finally have some peace… and lots of beautiful chicks. Hugs. ❤️
Once I moved Dolly and amped up the security at the brooder, no one else has gone missing. Two babies have died but I assume it's natural causes bc everyone else is fine. The Seramas are getting their wing and tail feathers. I swear the feathers are bigger than they are.

That’s wonderful to hear that things are going better, Elfen. 😊

I camt wait to see the colors these babies have. ❤️ At what age should I separate the Seramas from the bigger babies?

I can't tell you when to do it, as I don't have much experience with it, but I separated mine at 5 weeks old and a couple of days. By the 4 week mark however, they were starting to look a bit rough though
