Hey y’all,

I have adorable Serama babies that we hatched ourselves. They are one month and three days old. They have been great together until this morning... one of the cockerels was attacking the other one... they both have little wounds, I put the purple no peck stuff on their crowns... their eye lids have little marks... there are only three of them.... I have older chickens outside.. I understand pecking order and have had to get rid of nasty Roos before.. the one is now scared of the other and before putting them back together again we put them on the floor together... the “mean” one started giving the other one the sideways stare before going after him again. So I have them separated for now... does anyone have any ideas? I think Seramas mature faster than some other chickens... but you should see their little eyelids. They look like they are going to have black eyes... when I heard the noise I ran in and saw the one grabbing the other by it’s crown and throwing him.. ripping feathers out. 😢 Do Seramas tend to be like this? I keep finding more abt their history online than info I am asking from you guys.. what to do. I didn’t imagine these little minis not getting along lol
The Roos - the dark one in the middle & the yellow one on the end- he was the fresh one... already claim his hen...

2 cockerels to 1 pullet is not a good ratio. My Seramas and Serama mix cockerels were feisty when they were a few months old. 1 of my Serama mixes was doing the same your cockerel is doing and ripping his brother´s comb and pecking him very hard. It is the pecking order, but if blood is being drawn and the cockerels are hurting each other I would separate the two.
Seramas are not very aggressive but the cockerels can be if there is a pullet to fight over. Also, how big is your brooder? I would give them little treats and toys to keep them all distracted and entertained.

I have 7 Seramas there all about 1 month and half I think, I have 3 cockerels and 4 hens in varying sizes. The one cockerel is acting up like yours and crowing, I just try to over feed them so they fall asleep, doesn't always work. But I started taking Badazz for outings with me for coop cleaning and spend a little time outdoors till he's starts shivering. It's helping a little, so far no damage among the birds. Btw they should have a bigger space, it helps.

Badazz is the one on the right :

There living in a large cardboard brooder with my 6 Swedish Flower Hens for the time being with a divider. I'm planning to move them out when temperatures get a lot warmer.
