Chickenzoo, they are really nice, I have some hatching now can you tell as soon as they are born if they will be silkied?
As soon as their flight feathers start to come in you can tell. They will be silkied instead of straight. Also You can pretty much tell early on what sex they are. As you can see, the chick in the pic was all boy, LOL.
Thanks, I adore them. Sampson is such a cuddle bug. I'll have to get better pics of them. His foot looks funny in the pic because it was hanging on an edge.
I have his 1/2 brother and some other silkie hens as well as straight feathered seramas.
